'Chipalkatti Badminton Championship to be held from July 15 to 19

Pune, July 1 (UNI) The seventh edition of junior All India 'Sushant Chipalkatti' Memorial Badmintion Championship will be held at WIE complex here fron July 15 to 19.

Tournament secretary V P Deswandikar said here today the tournament sponsored by Kirloskar brothers LTD assumes importance as it will be the basis on which the Indian junior shuttlers will the selected for the International tournaments to be held in Korea and Hong Kong open tournament.

All the leading juniors--both boys and girls will vie for a prize money of Rs 1.5 lakh. The tournament will be played for boys and girls under 19, under 16, and under 13 years of age respectively, Mr Deswandikar said.

The last date of acceptance of entires is July 5.
