Champion Venus toppled by Jankovic

LONDON, July 1 (Reuters) Defending champion Venus Williams slumped out of Wimbledon in the third round today, beaten 7-6 4-6 6-4 by Serbia's Jelena Jankovic.

Williams, bidding for a fourth Wimbledon title, looked to have got back on track after losing the first-set tiebreak 10-8 but Jankovic clinched victory on her fourth match point.
