Case on TDP MLA for holding rasta roko

Visakhapatnam, Jul 1 (UNI) The district police today registered a case against Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA of Payakaraopet C H Venkata Rao for organising 'rasta roko' on National Highway Five in Nakkapalli Mandal last night.

Police said Mr Rao's contention was the Excise Department did not respond to his complaint on seizure of spurious liquor worth Rs six lakh from Nakkapalli.

Mr Rao alleged the ruling Congress leaders were wooing the voters in the local body elections by distributing cheap liquor.
