BJP will not be part of Uma's front: Rajnath
Bhopal, July 1 (UNI) BJP President Rajnath Singh today welcomed expelled party leader Uma Bharti's decision to form a national front -- including parties led by other ex-BJP leaders Madanlal Khurana and Babulal Marandi -- but denied that the BJP would join the new front.
''The BJP and its allies are already a part of a front -- the NDA. The party did not intend to join any other front,'' Mr Singh said.
He said the BJP would contest forthcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and other states on its own. However, the BJP would consider if other parties intended to form an alliance with the party.
