BJP express concern over infiltration, militancy
Jammu, July 1: Senior BJP leader and incharge of Jammu and Kashmir affairs, Arun Jaitley has expressed concern over the increasing of incident of infiltration and militancy related violence in state.
Talking to mediapersons here last evening criticised the policies of the United Front Alliance (UPA) towards Jammu and Kashmir.
''The policies adopted by the UPA Government towards J&K is directionless. Congress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have taken the state 15 years back,'' he alleged, adding that the steps taken by the Congress led government were ''demoralizing army troops while the actions of the two parties were encouraging the militants.'' Criticising the role of political parties in Jammu and Kashmir Mr Jaitley said they were pursuing Hurriyat's agenda like, demilitarisation, self rule and greater autonomy.
In reply of a question about Ice Lingam controvercy, the BJP leader said, the probe should to be completed. ''BJP would wait and watch till the probe into controversy regarding tampering with the Lingam at Amarnath shrine was complete,'' he said.
