ABHM urges Govt to reconsider ''friendly overtures'' to Pak

New Delhi, July 1 (UNI) The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) today urged the Government to reconsider its ''friendly overtures'' to Pakistan, saying Islamabad will only betray its trust.

''Terror attacks are on the rise and even Amarnath pilgrims have been targetted many times... But the Government is still announcing buses and trains to Pakistan,'' ABHM National President Dineshchandra Tyagi said here today.

''Pakistan has always betrayed India's trust and will continue to do so,'' he said while paying homage to Lt Colonel V R Chauhan who was killed in an encounter with militants in Bandipora area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district yesterday.

The Mahasabha president said India should never accept Pakistan's proposal of troop reduction in Jammu and Kashmir or withdrawal of the army from Siachen.
