YSR directs civic officials to improve sanitation in capital
Hyderabad, Jun 30 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed officials of the Municipal Corporation (MCH), Hyderabad, to concentrate on sanitation to contain epidemic spread.
Reviewing civic amenities with officials, Dr Reddy underscored the need of widening roads, constructing drains and improving living conditions in slums.
Dr Reddy ordered officials concerned to complete work undertaken, by the end of 2007 and urged them to hasten the construction of houses in Kukatpalli, on the outskirts of the city.
MCH officials assured him that they would complete construction of fly-overs at Chandrayanagutta and Nalgonda Cross Roads by September and Punjagutta and Greenlands by February, 2007.
