Umrigar stable; chemotherapy continues
Mumbai, Jun 30 (UNI) The condition of former Indian cricket captain Polly Umrigar, who was readmitted to the Bombay Hospital on June 27, continued to remain stable.
Dr Ashish Tiwari, spokesperson of the hospital told UNI here today that the 80-year-old cricket legend was still undergoing the second phase of chemotherapy, which would be completed tomorrow.
Any decision on his discharge or further sessions of chemotherapy would be taken only after the completion of the second phase, Dr Tiwari added.
Umrigar had been diagnosed as suffering from lymphoma after he was admitted to the same hospital earlier this month.
He had also undergone the first phase of chemotherapy at the hospital.
