Udit meets Ranjana, tries to break deadlock

Patna, Jun 30 (UNI) Noted playback singer Udit Narain today airdashed to Patna and initiated a face to face dialogue with his estranged wife Ranjana Jha to find a amicable solution to their marital discord.

Mr Narain arrived at the Patna airport this afternoon and called his estranged wife Ranjana Jha for dialogue to end the deadlock over the rising controversies over their marriage.

The singer, however, refused to come out from the airport on the plea of reported threats to his life and preferred to have a discussion with Ms Jha in VIP lounge of the airport itself.

When tried to contact, Ms Jha refused to share anything with the media and straight away proceeded to the lounge to meet her and negotiate with her husband, Mr Narain.

Meanwhile, Chairperson of the Bihar Women's Commission Manju Prakash said that it was encouraging to find that both had met and discussed to normalise their married life.

She said Ms Jha would report to the commission on progress of their negotiation to ease their strained conjugal life.

Earlier, the commission had issued four summons to Mr Narain to appear before it to state his position following a complaint by Ms Jha accusing him of denying her rights as legal wife despite the fact that their marriage was solemnised as per Hindu rituals in presence of large number of relatives and friends in 1984.
