Trivedi shines with ball as India A restrict CM XI for 234
Darwin, Australia, June 30 (UNI) Siddharth Trivedi claimed four for 31 as India 'A' restricted Northern Territory Chief Minister's XI for a first innings total of 234 on the opening day of four-day match at Marrara Cricket Ground here today.
At stumps, Ravinder Jadeja (5) and Gautam Gambhir (6) were at the cease as India were 15 for one with opener Robin Uthappa back in pavilion after scoring four.
Earlier, Trivedi gave a double blow to the Australian side removing both the openers in quick succession.
The Indian paceman removed D K Richards (19) and A N Williams (12) with the CM's XI scorecard reading 37.
Jadeja provided next blow to the hosts as he snared M M Brown for eight.
S Lavers (54) and R Bowden (18) lent some respectability to the Australian side's innings adding 50 runs but Trivedi sent back Bowden to break fourth-wicket partnership as the hosts reached 118.
D Truemer (38), K Lawrence (32) and T Kelly (23 not out) chiiped in with useful contributions to help CM's XI cross the 200-run mark.
For India 'A', Jadeja, R P Singh and T P Singh took two wickets apiece.
