SW monsoon vigorous in Saurashtra

Pune, June 30 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has further advanced into most parts of north Arabian sea, entire Gujarat, in some parts of east Rajasthan, entier Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of west Uttar Pradesh, entier Himachal Pradesh and some more parts of Punjab.

The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Saurashtra and Kutch and active in Kerala.

In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in day tempratures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Haryana, Punjab and northwest Rajasthan. They were normal over southwest Rajasthan.

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa and at many places in Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Lakshadweep and at many places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, interior Karnataka and Andman and Nicobar Islands and at few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.
