STF, PAC, intelligence, security kept out of RIT

Lucknow, June 30 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today approved a proposal of keeping four police departments out of the purview of Right To Information (RIT) Act, 2005 in the state.

In a cabinet meeting here, the departments kept out of the RIT include Special Task Force (STF), Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), Intelligence wing and security wing of UP police.

However, this exemption would not be entitled to these units in case of corruption or human rights violation.
