7 chicken guinea cases reported in Kerala village
Thiruvananthapuram, June 30: Seven cases of 'Chicken Guinea' had been reported in Parassala bordering Tamil Nadu in this district of Kerala, the State Assembly was told today.
Replying to a Submission by R Selvaraj, Electricity Minister A K Balan, deputising for the Health Minister, said, of the seven 'Chicken Guinea' patients, manifested by symptoms of high fever and extreme body pain, admitted to the Parassala Government Hospital this week, two were from Tamil Nadu.
However, all of them were discharged from the hospital after treatment and the situation was not alarming.
Their blood samples were sent to the Pune Virology Institute for further examination, Mr Balan added.
