Security to workers of UP chemical industries
Lucknow, June 30 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today said adequae security be provided to workers employed in chemical industries.
Addressing a departmental meeting here, UP Labour Minister Waqar Ahmad Shah said under Environment Act, 1986, it was the responsibility of officers of Factory Directorate to ensure security for the workers.
He said provisions had been made in Factory Act, 1948 for ensuring general security, secured management and chemical accident control.
This is aimed at ensuring security to common people and workers facing threat relating to use and stock of chemical materials.
