Rupee up by five paise closes at Rs 46.05/USD

Mumbai, June 30: Indian Rupee today closed strong by five paise at Rs 46.05/US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 46.29/US Dollar, a trader in the money market today said.

Rupee earlier opened at Rs 46.12/US Dollar and in the mid-morning session traded at 46.06/07/US Dollar.

RBI today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.08/US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was fixed at 1.12 per cent and the one year forward premia was fixed at 1.21 per cent.

Rupee also performed well against other currencies, aginst euro it was at Rs 58.50, pound sterling it was at Rs 84.51, and against yen it was at Rs 40.14.
