Rosaiah asks if TDP wants to nominate partyman as SEC

Hyderabad, Jun 30 (UNI) Refuting the opposition TDP charge that the State Election Commissioner was working as per the diktats of the Chief Minister, Senior Congress leader and Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K Rosaiah today asked opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu if he wanted to nominate his partyman as the SEC.

Talking to the media at the Congress Legislature Party along with CLP Secretary E Pratapa Reddy here, Mr Rosaiah said the former Chief Minister was impatient to come back to power and was unable to digest the idea that the Congress was in power.

Mr Rosaiah alleged that the TDP, which always talked about democracy had scant respect for democratic values. He asked how Mr Chandrababu Naidu would explain yesterday's Markapur incident, where TDP workers allegedly caused destruction and obstructed the process of law.
