Rains continue to lash Kolhapur, Radhanagri records 97 mm rainfall

Kolhapur, June 30 (UNI) With the monsoon being active in Kolhapur since early this week, rains continued to lash several parts of this district even today.

Radhanagri tehsil recorded the highest rainfall of 97 mm in the last 24 hours, ending 0800 hrs today, while Gadinglaj tehsil recorded the lowest rainfall of one mm, district collectorate office spokesman said.

The district recorded 29.25 mm rainfall during the period, he added.

The water level increased in Radhanagri, Kalammawadi, Warna and other areas in the district following better rainfall at dams and catchment areas, the spokesman added.
