Police seeks court's permission to issue warrant against Sadhu
Gopalganj, Jun 30 (UNI) Goplaganj police today filed a petition in Chief Judicial Magistrate's court, seeking permission for issuing warrant against RJD MP Anirudh Prasad Yadav alias Sadhu Yadav, in connection with the 'assault' of a candidate aspiring for the post of block 'pramukh'.
Sub-Divisional police officer Shankar Jha said here the district police had prayed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Nand Kumar Srivastav to issue the warrant against the MP.
He said police teams would be constituted to nab the leader, once the warrant was issued.
Earlier, Mr Yadav had allegedly manhandled the block Pramukh candidate at Phulwariya block in Gopalganj in his attempt to influence the election in favour of his close relative Kunti devi, who was sister-in-law of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.
An FIR was lodged at Phulwariya police station in this connection.
Meanwhile, District Magistrate Murlidhar Rai had externed Sadhu Yadav from the district for four days till the election process was over.
