PM urged to take steps to locate missing Keralite
Thiruvananthapuram, June 30 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take necessary steps to find out Jose Mathew, a Keralite, who has been missing since September last.
In a fax message, he urged the Prime Minister to take necessary steps, including a CBI inquiry into the mysterious circumstaces of his missing, a release said here.
Mr Mathew, an electrical inspector with Pelican Marine Private Limited, a Mumbai-based firm, was missing with the ship in which he had travelled since last September.
Though his wife had sent several letters to the shipping firm, no favourable reply received from the company, he said adding that even the company had not cleared his nine-months' salary.
Her effort to get a reply from the Shipping Corporation of India also failed, he added.
