PM promises to provide succour to farmers in Vidarbha
Amravati, Maharashtra, June 30 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today assured that he will personally consider the woes of the kin of the farmers who committed suicide in Vidarbha and provide succour to them before leaving for New Delhi.
The assurance of the Prime Minister came when he interacted with the relatives of farmers, who committed suicide, at Dhamangaon in Amravati district and Waifad in Wardha district in Vidarbha.
After meeting them and hearing their woes, he said + Main aaya hun to kuch de ke jayunga+ ( I have come here and something good will be given).
Dr Singh arrived here at 1005 hrs for a two-day tour of Vidarbha and left by helicopter for Dhamangaon to meet the farmers and later toured Waifad in Wardha district.
He also spent more than three hours in Bapu Kuti at Sewagram also in Wardha district.
