Pak announces visa relaxation for Indians
Islamabad, June 30: In a goodwill gesture and to push forward the peace process, Pakistan today relaxed the visa regime for Indian nationals intending to visit the country.
Announcing the revised policy, Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Shepao told reporters here that Indian businessmen will now be able to get six-monthly multiple entry while the period of stay for Indian tourists has also been extended from the existing 14 days to 30 days.
He said children under age of 12, widows and senior citizens will also be able to get a two-year visa under the new policy.
Mr Sherpao said the government will also simplify the security clearance process, adding it will now be completed within four weeks.
