North East rock climbing competition to be held in Manipur

Imphal, Jun 30 (UNI) The eigth North East rock climbing competition will be organised at Kangla rock wall in Imphal by the Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association(MMTA) in September.

MMTA officials said here today a committee has been formed under MMTA president N Ibungochoubi.

''Sports activities like trekking and rock climbing have tremendous potential in the region and government should encourage this by providing required assistance,'' MMTA officials said.
