'No word from Pak on Sarabjit swap with Arif'

New Delhi, June 30: The government today denied having received any official communication on the reported swap of Sarabjit, the Indian who is facing death sentence in Pakistan, with Arif, involved in the December 2000 terrorist attack on Red Fort.

''We have not heard anything officially on this,'' a spokesman of the External Affairs Ministry said in reply to a question.

Reports here said Pakistan had asked India for exchange of Arif with Sarabjit.

Sarabjit is presently lodged in a Pakistan jail, facing death sentence for allegedly being involved in bomb explosions in that country.

Arif was arrested after he was found to be involved in the terrorist attack on Red Fort on December 22, 2000.
