New medical unit at Sankar Eye Hospital

Visakhapatnam, Jun 30 (UNI) Green Laser, medical equipment used for eye surgery was inaugurated today at Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital.

The new facility was inaugurated by City Income Tax Chief Commissioner P Gupta.

Speaking on the occasion, Foundation Managing Trustee A Shankar Rao said the new equipment worth Rs 16 lakh bought from Germany would be used for treatment of diabetic retinopathy and other retinal diseases.

He said the foundation would construct a new hospital complex with all modern facilities in the next year.
