Nepal boat capsizes in river, 30 missing

KATHMANDU, June 30 (Reuters) An overcrowded boat with a marriage party on board capsized in eastern Nepal today and more than 30 people were missing, officials said.

Thirty others, including the bride and groom, were rescued by police and soldiers from a nearby army camp, who have also launched a search for the missing the Koshi river , police officer Direndra Babu Shrestha said.

The incident occurred 200 km southeast of the capital, Kathmandu.
