NDA summons warring Minister and MLA

Patna, Jun 30 (UNI) In order to resolve the crisis, which precipitated following the scuffle between BJP Minister Janardan Singh Sigriwal and JD(U) MLA from Chapra Ram Pravesh Rai, the NDA has summoned both of them to explain their position.

State BJP president Radhamohan Singh and JD(U) state president Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh today held a meeting to discuss the situation arising out of the Minister-MLA spat and to decide the future strategy of the coalition over the matter, which had snowballed into a controversy within the NDA.

After the meeting, Mr Radha Mohan Singh told UNI here that they expressed concern over the issue and took it seriously.

He said they had decided to go into the details of the issue and Mr Sigriwal and Mr Rai had been summoned to state their positions before the state presidents of both parties.

The warring leaders had been summoned separately, informed Mr Singh, saying if required they might visit Chapra to know details about the incident personally.

Earlier, both Mr Sigriwal and Mr Rai had a row over district board election in Chapra recently after which Mr Sigriwal had staged dharna in a local police station demanding removal of Police Superintendent of Chapra.
