Kerala lifts Junior National Handball Championship
Chennai, Jun 30 (UNI) Holder's Kerala won 29th Junior National Handball Championship for Girls defeating Maharashtra by 26-24, in the finals here today.
Though the losers were ahead in the half time by 14-11, Kerala through well coordinated efforts, finally won the championship.
Sruthi and Beena scored 11 goals each for Maharashtra and Kerala respectively.
Earlier in the semifinals, Kerala beat Chhatisgarh by 30-15 and Maharashtra beat Uttar Pradesh by 26-06.
