Israeli airstrike wounds Gaza militant
GAZA, June 30 (Reuters) An Israeli airstrike targeting a car in the northern Gaza Strip wounded one Palestinian militant today, a Palestinian security source and medics said.
They said four militants were in the vehicle at the time of the strike. Three managed to flee.
The Israeli army said it was checking the report.
It was unclear which group the militants belonged to.
Israeli warplanes pounded Gaza today, setting ablaze the Interior Ministry offices of the Hamas-led Palestinian government in a widening military effort to secure the release of 19-year-old Corporal Gilad Shalit, who was captured by militants in a cross-border raid on Sunday.
