Kolkata, Jun 30 (UNI) Kodak India Limited Managing Director Ravi Karam Cheti today said India will come stronger in camera photography in near future but needed an environment where the photo industry can thrive and grow.
" India has an immense photography market and possesses several skilled manpower. Though photography provides huge job opportunity, cost of labour is so expensive that we need a level plying field and an environment in the country where the industry can thrive and grow, " Mr Cheti told newspersons at Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BNCCI) here.
He said the Kodak's minimum camera range was Rs 499, adding sale of consumer camera per annum in the country was ten lakh.
The market was growing rapidly in West Bengal and other metro cities, specially in the rural areas comprising lower income group.
