Expo Seminar on surface transport technology begins Aug 17

Chennai, Jun 30 (UNI) A three day International Expo cum seminar on Surface Transportation-emerging opportunity and Technology will be held at IIT campus here from August 17 jointly organised by the Tamil Nadu State Chapter of the All India Manufacturers Organisation (AIMO-TNSB) and IIT Chennai and others.

Talking to newspersons here today the Chairman of the Expo Organising Committee said that speeches from reputed personalities from different parts of the world and over 100 exhibitors and 250 delegates and various players of the industry from all over the World were expected to attend the three-day event.

While Malaysia would be the partner country for the seminar, China would be the partner country for exhibition and their participation in the proposed international event would be a significant one. 20 to 25 manufacturing giants of China were also expected to display their products during the exhibition, he added.

He said the event will have live working models of latest equipments in road construction and construction equipment and machinery. Along with the programme, a separate event was also planned for job opportunities and job fair, partner sourcing, auction of used machineries and sale of reconditioned machines, he added.

At the end of the event a road map would be prepared for suggestions or solutions for removing the bottlenecks and hurdles on the industrial growth of the country and the same would be submitted to the Central and State Governments for suitable remedy, he added.
