ERA to minimise incidents of poaching

Chennai, Jun 30 (UNI) The Executive Recuriters Association (ERA) would introduce a minimum set of ethical standards to check rising incidents of poaching of employees, Ma Foi Management Consultants Limited Managing Director K Pandia Rajan said today.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the set of ethical guidelines would establish certain ethical standards among the members which could not be violated.

"The industry and the set of guidelines would make sure that in the hunt for talents they would not jeopardise certain ethical moorings that was neccessary for every industry in its long run. The ERA member company would limit the incidents of poaching staffs from one of its client to another" he added.

AVTAR Career Creators' Chief Executive Ms Saundarya Rajesh said the incidents of poaching could be minimised if the talent pool was big.

''Right now the availablity was much less compared to demand. So the ERA is planning to expand the talent pool by empowering more women and creating more interim opportunities for women'', she added.

The ERA would start a diploma course in recruitment studies to teach the effective methods of recruitment as the demands of the industry was outstripping the human resources available, she added.
