Eight-year-old kidnapped boy rescued

New Delhi, June 30 (UNI) Police have rescued an eight-year-old kidnapped boy and arrested four kidnappers, including a woman, from North East Delhi.

Furkan was kidnapped on June 28 from outside his house in Nehru Vihar Delhi.

Police said Nadim (25), Muntiyaj (20), Kapil (21) and Sitara (35) were arrested yesterday. They had kept the child in Sitara's house in Sangam Vihar.

They had demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from Furkan's family.

During interrogation, Nadim and Muntiyaj revealed that they were unemployed and needed money. They along with Kapil and Sitara had hatched the plan to kidnap the child.

Nadim and Muntiyaj had worked as labourers in the factory of the victim's father.

Further investigations are in progress.
