Eight infiltrators killed in North Kashmir

Srinagar, June 30: Troops foiled a major infiltration bid when they killed eight militants near Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir, army spokesman said today.

He said the troops noticed a heavily-armed group of militants on the Indian side of the LoC last night.

On being challenged, the intruders opened fire on troops and in the ensuing gunfight, eight militants were killed, the spokesman added.
