ED raids former NALCO CMD's residence
Bhubaneswar, Jun 30 (UNI) A team of officers from the Enforcement Directorate in Kolkata had conducted raid on the residence of former NALCO CMD S K Tamotia here late last night.
ED sources said the raid was conducted in connection with the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act violation and alleged irregularities in the import of cooking coal.
The ED officials were tightlipped about the details of the outcome of the raid.
Sources said the officials had seized some cash and incriminating documents from the house of Mr Tamotia.
The money recovered from his house had been kept in the Police Reserve office here.
Mr Tamotia, after his retirement from NALCO, had joined the Aditya Steels and later Visa Industries as the Chief Executive Officer.
