Do not resort to media to air grievances, BJP tells party workers

Ranchi, Jun 30 (UNI) Terming the byelection to Koderma Parliamentary seat, an opportiunity to prove the party's strength in Jharkhand, the BJP today asked its cadres to resolve their differences within the forum and issued strong instruction not to air their grievances through media.

The coming bypoll, date for which is yet to be fixed, is necessitated following former BJP national vice-president Babulal Marandi's resignation from the Lok Sabha last month.

Two central leaders - national general secretary Om Prakash Mathur and national vice-president in-charge of Jharkhand Sumitra Mahajan - were here for the past three days in the wake of crisis following internal squabbles that came to the fore when many BJP leaders including Saryu Rai (MLA) demanded change of state president Yadunath Pandey.

The duo held hectic consultation with party fuctionaries here and this told newspersons that the present crisis was minor one which could be solved amicably.

Mr Mathur said he had carried instruction from party high command Rajnath Singh that none should resort to media to give vent to their grievances and warned of taking disciplinary action whoever found violating.

He ruled out any change of leadership both in the party and government.

Referring to Koderma byelection, he expressed confidence that the party was ready face wheneverit was held.

Ms Mahajan reitrated that Mr Marandi's resignation would not leave any impact on the BJP.
