Cong can't destabilise JD-S-BJP govt in K'taka
Bangalore, June 30: BJP Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu today asserted that the Congress will not succeed in its attempts to destabilise the JD(S)-BJP coalition Government in Karnataka.
His comments come in the wake of JD(S) rebel leader Siddaramaiah meeting Congress President Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi two days ago and reports suggesting that the backward class leader would join the Congress.
Mr Naidu told reporters here that ''Mr Siddaramaiah is free to go wherever he wants. Let the Congress try its best to fell the coalition Government in Karnataka. It will be a futile exercise.'' Advising the Congress leaders to concentrate on keeping their party leaders united, he said ''early this week, Mr C K Jaffer Shariff shared dias with Bahujan Samaj Party leaders. He went to meet Mayawati 'Madam'. This shows how weak the Delhi Madam (Sonia) has become. She has no command over the party any more.''
