Bharat Electronics FY 05-06 net up 30.62 pc to Rs 583.01 cr
Mumbai, June 30 (UNI) Bharat Electronics has posted a 30.62 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 583.01 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 446.32 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05).
Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased by 9.44 per cent to Rs 3649.43 crore for FY 05-06 from Rs 3334.37 crore in FY 04-05.
The board has recommended a final dividend of 106 per cent (i.e.
Rs 10.60 per equity share of Rs 10/- each) in addition to the interim dividend of 40% paid in November 2005.
Bharat Electronics (BEL), a defence PSU, predominantly operates in defence related electronic products and systems. The company designs, develops and manufactures state-of-the-art products in the fields of radars, defence communication, telecommunication, sound&vision broadcasting, opto-electronics, solar systems, IT products and electronic components.
