Amitabh Bachchan's mother admitted to Leelavati Hospital

Mumbai, June 30 (UNI) Mrs Teji Bachchan, mother of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, was admitted to Leelavati Hospital this afternoon.

Mrs Bachchan, who is in her late eighties, was brought to the hospital by Amitabh and Jaya.

Hospital spokesperson Vaishali Rajpara said, ''Mrs Teji Bachchan has been admitted for a routine checkup. Doctors are conducting medical tests. We cannot comment any thing more than this''.

Amitabh Bachchan is presently in Mumbai shooting for Ravi Chopra's ''Babul'' at Filmistan studio in Goregaon, North Mumbai.
