Aditya Birla Nuvo fixes appointed date of merger with BGFL

New Delhi, June 30 (UNI) Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd today announced that its Committee of Board of Directors (CoD) has approved the date of effectiveness of the scheme of amalgamation between Birla Global Finance Ltd (BGFL) and the company, as September 1, 2005.

The company's board will meet July 3, 2006, to consider the recasted accounts on merger its merger with BGFL, a company statement said.

Earlier this week, the company announced plans to acquire Canada's Minacs Worldwide, a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm, for around 125 million dollars.
