US Senate Panel passes bill on India nuclear deal

Washington, June 29 (UNI) The Lugar-Biden legislation on the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal was adopted today by the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee with a thumping majority of 16-2.

The passing of the bill paved the way for India to get nuclear technology and equipment from the US with supporters hailing it as a victory for India and for the US-India bilateral relations.
