Two police officials suspended in Didwana incident
Jaipur, June 29 (UNI) Two police officials have been suspended following tension after a shootout in Didwana in Nagaur district earlier this week.
Didwana's deputy superintendent of police Laxman Das and police station incharge Rafiq Ahmed have been suspended after two people were murdered by assailants in Didwana's market place on Tuesday.
Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria issued the suspension orders after a team of Rajasthan Jat Mahasabha met the minister.
Sources said police station incharge in Nagaur, Veer Singh have been put on APO (Awaiting Posting Orders) and investigations have been ordered against Sub Divisional Magistrate.
The relatives of those murdered were ready to take the corpses once the orders of home minister came through. Post mortem was conducted on the bodies today at Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh Hospital.
On Tuesday, two poeple were murdered in broad daylight by assailants on Tuesday at a shop in the market place.
The Jat community accusing the police of negligence, refused to take the dead bodies from the hospital unless their demands were met.
Large number of police force are still deployed in Didwana following tension over the incident.
