Two more aged Amarnath pilgrims die
Srinagar, June 29 (UNI) Two more aged Amarnath pilgrims have died of heart attack, official sources said today.
With this, a total of 18 pilgrims have died since the commencement of the two-month-long Amarnath pilgrimage on June 11.
The sources said a 65-year-old 'sadhu', identified as Raghuvir Puri, a resident of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, died of cardiac arrest at Sheshnag on way to the holy cave shrine of Amarnath from the traditional Pahalgham route this morning.
They said a 64-year-old pilgrim, Sriram Shankar Jog, a resident of Anandnagar, Pune in Maharashtra, died of heart attack last night also at Sheshnag.
