Silver, gold closes, slips again

Mumbai, Jun 29: Values of silver and gold drifted lower for the second consecutive day today mainly on bearish advice from overseas markets and poor demand from jewellers, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade: Rs 16,105 (16,120), Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,755 (8,800), Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 8,800 (8,845).
