Sensex recovers, opens up by 65 points
Mumbai, June 29 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex today opened up by 65 points at 10,193.94 as compared to the previous close of 10,129.70.
The firm Asian markets inspired the sentiments of the investors, and led them into buying mood. The key benchmark indices in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia were all up between 0.27-2.00 per cent.
The BSE sectoral indices that led the positivity on the Sensex were metals, auto, construction, banking and capital goods, all were up between 1.10 to 1.59 per cent.
Major gainers on the index were Hero Honda, Tata Motors, Maruti, L&T, HDFC Bank, ONGC, HDFC, Reliance Communications, BHEL and Tata Steel, all up between 1.98 to 4.55 per cent.
The only loser on the index was NTPC which was down by 0.69 per cent.
