MADRID, June 29 (Reuters) Real Madrid presidential candidate Lorenzo Sanz says he will bring five players to the club if he wins the election on Sunday, including Brazil's Emerson and England's Michael Carrick.

''These players have agreements with my technical staff who, if we win the election, will resign if we are not able to carry out the deals on Monday,'' Sanz told a news conference today.

''They are Dutch defender Khalid Boulahrouz, Italian defender Gianluca Zambrotta, England midfielder Michael Carrick, Brazil midfielder Emerson and Argentinian midfielder Fernando Gago, who plays for Boca Juniors.'' Sanz, Real president in the late 1990s, is one of five candidates standing in the election which was called after the board ousted Fernando Martin in April.

The election campaign has been characterised by claims from candidates to have secured various coaches and players, aimed at swinging voters their way.

Florentino Perez famously won the 2000 election with the promise to buy Barcelona's Luis Figo. Perez quit in February.
