Police arrests a school principal for 'raping' a student

Patna, Jun 29 (UNI) A school principal, along with his associate, was arrested for allegedly raping a student in Kankarbahgh locality under Patrakar Nagar police station area here last night.

Superintendent of Police Kundan Krishnan said that though the incident occurred a week back but the girl's parents kept it a secret and reported the matter to police on Wednesday.

After the complaint was lodged, police arrested Maniraj Singh Singh and Ajay immediately, he added.

Police said the principal had lured the victim, a Class-X student, to a secluded room in the school where she was raped.

The victim was examined by doctors of Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH) but yet to get the report.

The father of the victim said that he was not prepared to report the matter to police due to social stigma but his relatives advised him to lodge a complaint in this connection.
