Palekar's debut English film to be premiered at Brisbane film fest

Mumbai, June 29 (UNI) Actor-filmmaker Amol Palekar's debut English film 'Quest' which offers a fast pace, contemporary depiction of an urban couple's life, will be screened at the Brisbane Film Festival in Australia on July 6.

In the film, the protagonists, Sai and Aditya, weave their lives together through professional pressures, personal confusion and individual dilemmas. Their quest for finding solutions despite the disillusive reality remains incessant.

'Quest' is a bilingual film, which will be released in India in Marathi as 'Thaang' in August. Its story, screenplay and dialogues are written by Sandhya Gokhale, while Debu Deodhar is the cinematographer.

Palekar's last film was Shah Rukh-Rani Mukherjee starrer 'Paheli'. He has also directed Marathi films like 'Dhyaasparva' and 'Anaahat'.

Known for perfect casting of his characters, Palekar said he was very happy with the performances of Mrinal Kulkarni, Rishi Deshpande, Shishir Sharma and Vijaya Mehta.
