Orphanage for J

New Delhi, June 29 (UNI) A city-based non-governmental organisation will open an orphanage for about 500 children from insurgency- affected Jammu and Kashmir.

The foundation stone for 'Sadhna Kunj' will be laid here on July 2 by BJP President RajNath Singh, according to the NGO statement.

Children who have lost their parents and families to violence in Jammu and Kashmir will be put up in the shelter home.

Sadhna Kunj President Rakesh Gupta said the children will be provided education and placement services.

''We will not only look after the children's necessities but also bring them up in a family atmosphere so that they grow up to be independent citizens,'' he added.
