NLC leaders call for Jaya's support for stir

Chennai, Jun 29 : Representatives of various trade unions of the NLC met AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa and sought support for the indefinite stir scheduled to start from July four demanding the Centre to drop its move to divest ten per cent of its equity shares.

An AIADMK release here yesterday said the union leaders also urged Ms Jayalalithaa to inaugurate the day-long fast at Neyveli on July three and sought her intervention to protect the PSU.
