Nine dead in US floods- National Weather Service
NEW YORK, June 28 (Reuters) Floodwaters across the eastern United States have killed nine people in two days, the National Weather Service said today.
Marcie Katcher, a spokeswoman for the service, said the nine died during flooding after as much as 13 inches (33 cm) of rain had fallen since Monday in an area including Pennsylvania, New York state, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
